In the search for alternative energy sources to traditional coal-fired power plants, BA.N partners were asked to initiate and lead a feasibility study, its implementation in Latin America, and its testing at a power plant. This complex project involved parties from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The feasibility study was completed with a positive outcome and several parties are now investigating possible follow-up steps. This project covered not only the industrial side of the process, but also political feasibility, NGO involvement and the whole "Carbon Credit" chain.
